About

Hep B Free Los Angeles

Hep B Free Los Angeles is a county-wide initiative made up of a group of dedicated community-dedicated organizations and healthcare professionals committed to working toward eliminating hepatitis B-related morbidity and mortality within high-risk communities. Our mission is to increase the quality of life and improve access to care for Los Angeles communities affected by hepatitis B through advocacy, prevention, and education & research

By bringing together a volunteer-based country-wide coalition of advocates, we aim to achieve the following goals:

1

To educate communities about hepatitis and liver cancer through outreach and education

2

To improve the knowledge and practices of health care providers to reduce barriers to hepatitis B screening, vaccinations, and disease reporting

3

To advocate for health policies and services that promote increased access to hepatitis B testing and vaccinations for high-risk populations

4

To increase hepatitis B immunization rates among adolescents and adults in high-risk areas in Los Angeles County through outreach, education, and the coordination of direct services
